The problem
I built YASHSTORE to learn how a full e-commerce journey connects product discovery, cart state, payment, order creation, and store administration.
My contribution
Built the project independently, including the product catalog, cart and checkout, NextAuth configuration for credentials and Google providers, customer orders, and an admin dashboard for products, categories, users, and order status.
Key decisions
- 01Modeled users, products, categories, carts, and orders in PostgreSQL through Prisma.
- 02Connected Stripe Payment Element to a server-created PaymentIntent, then verified webhook signatures before creating an order and clearing its cart items.
- 03Separated customer shopping views from a role-aware admin area for catalog and order management.
Outcome
Completed the end-to-end store flow and learned how to integrate Stripe payments with application-side cart and order data.
